On April 4, Eastern League regular season and Chiba Lotte in the first round match between Yokohama DeNA and Yokohama DeNA in Lotte Urawa Baseball Stadium was a heavy defeat for Chiba Lotte with a score of 6-18.
It was a battle of goals from the first time. After giving up a one-run lead in the top of the first inning, Chiba Lotte tied the game in the bottom of the inning on an RBI doble by Raito Ikeda with one out. Rookie Ryusei Miyazaki and Naonori Yasuda followed with back-to-back RBI singles to make it 3-1.
However, starter Ayumu Ishikawa pitcher was caught by the Yokohama DeNA bats in the top of the second inning. Back-to-back singles put runners on first and third with no outs, and Naoto Chino tied the game with an RBI doble. Takaki Dokai sacrifice fly and Ayato Inoue were hit by Home Run in two consecutive at-bats to make it 5-3.
The second-Seiun Akiyama pitcher also runs in the top of the fourth. The No. 3 Akira Yagi pitcher added back-to-back doble runs in the top of the fifth, making it 10 runs. In the top of the sixth inning, rookie Kosuke Nagashima pitcher made his professional debut on Farm regular season, but it was bittersweet as he went 3 hit 1 struck out 1 Walk 3 runs in the first inning.
Rookie Rikima Ichijo pitcher entered the game in the top of the seventh inning and retired three batters. He struck out back-to-back struck out from Tokai and Inoue, and pitched a 2 strike out 1st inning with no runs in relief. In the top of the eighth, Keisuke Sawada pitcher gave up three runs with two outs and the bases loaded. Kota Futaki pitcher, who moved up to mound in seventh, got through the inning with a struck out.
In the bottom of the eighth, Ko Matsukawa hit put out a runner for the first time in four inning, and with two outs and one out, Kenta Chatani was on third base with struck out. Then, in the top of the ninth, Yuki Kuniyoshi pitcher hit a two-run single by Atsushi Katsumata. In the bottom of the inning, Chiba Lotte had a chance to put runners on first and third with one out, and scored on Yuta Kaneda 's grounder to infield. Acevedo followed with a two-run single in the first.
Yokohama DeNA batted 23 hit scored 18 runs, and Chiba Lotte 's winning streak from the start of the season was stopped at 8. It was their first loss of the season.
