On 26 March, Eastern League regular season in Shinrindori Stadium Izumi, Tohoku Rakuten vs. Chiba Lotte in the second round match, 7-4 Chiba Lotte win. After a draw, they opened the season with six consecutive wins.

Chiba Lotte starter Yuji Nishino pitcher gave up a doble to Soshi Yoshino with one out in the first inning and followed with a Daiki Irie The first goal was conceded by a timely strike by the player. He put runners in runner scoring position in the bottom of the second and fourth innings, but got through the runs with no struck out in key spots, and gave up 4 hit 1 Walk 7 strike out 1 runs on 66 pitches in the fourth inning to get out of mound.

With two outs in the top of the fourth, Shingo Ishikawa put runners on first and second on an error by hit and tied the game on an RBI single by Ryusei Miyazaki. Raito Ikeda next player chose Walk, and Masami Ishigaki was given the first bases loaded shot to win the match. They added another run in the top of the fifth on an RBI single by Daito Yamamoto to make the score 6-1. In the bottom of the fifth, Hirokazu Sawamura pitcher tied the game with no runs.

​Yuto Yoshikawa pitcher entered the game in the bottom of the sixth inning and pinch-hit runners on second and third with no outs on Walk and doble, and gave up two runs on RBI singles by Haruka Yamada and Takumi Aono. Still, the two inning from the seventh inning were tied Atsuya Hirohata pitcher runs. In the top of the ninth, Toshiya Nakamura pitcher gave up one run on the back of a runner on an error, but the game ended with a minimum of runs. Chiba Lotte added one more run in the top of the eighth inning on back-to-back singles by Ikeda and Ishigaki to make it win 7-4. Ishigaki scored 2 hit 5 RBI.

In the loss for Tohoku Rakuten, starter Takayuki Kishi pitcher hit 3 strike out Hit by Pitch no runs on 32 pitches in two innings, but Taisei Tsuruzaki pitcher runs from a defense deficit and runs (earned runs 0 in the second inning). Daichi Shibata pitcher and Haruto Nakagomi pitcher also failed to break the flow, going 1 runs in two innings. Yamada has a 3 hit 1 RBI performance.
