On 14 May, Hokkaido Nippon-Ham win 9-2 in the eighth round of the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Eastern League regular season vs. The Giants at Kamagaya Stadium in The Fighters.

​Hokkaido Nippon-Ham starter Yi-Lei Sun pitcher got three outs in the first inning on just six pitches. In the top of the fifth, hit and Walk loaded the bases with two outs and bases loaded runners on base, but he struck out the next two batters to keep the game scoreless. He left the game in the top of the sixth inning with two outs. Koki Matsuoka pitcher, who moved up to mound instead, were runs, and in the top of the seventh, Naoya Ishikawa pitcher closer a three-way tie.

In the bottom of the second inning, Walk and Yushin Shimizu scored on hit with no outs and runners on first and third base, and a run scored on a grounder by Yudai Furukawa. In the bottom of the third inning, back-to-back singles by Martinez and Shun Mizutani put runners on first and second with two outs, and Arizono added another run on an RBI single. In addition, Hinode Hoshino 's No. 1 solo shot in the bottom of the fourth, Arizono's No. 8 three-run shot in the bottom of the fifth, and Yu Shimizu's No. 1 solo in the bottom of the seventh inning made it 7-0.

In the top of the eighth, Ryusei Fujita pitcher gave up two runs on an RBI single and an error by his teammates, but his replacement, Mizuki Hori pitcher, did not allow any more runs. They added two more runs in the bottom of the eighth inning on RBI singles by fielder’s choice and Ataru Yamaguchi. In the top of the ninth inning, Kenta Uehara pitcher was hit by a pitch with two outs, but he finally struck out Takuya Guni to end the game with a score of 9-2.

win Hokkaido Nippon-Ham earned Eastern's second win of the season after starter pitcher Son pitched 3 hit 1 Walk 5 strike out runs on 83 pitches in 5.2 innings. The batting lineup was fielder’s choice with a total of 11 hit 9 goals, including Home Run by Hoshi , Arizono and Yu Shimizu, and stopped their losing streak at 4.
