The 2025 Professional baseball Draft Conference supported by Lipovitan D will be held on Thursday, October 23rd.

How did the players who were drafted last fall spend their first season as pros? This time, we will look at the players who completed their first season as first-team players and reached the required number of at-bats. Rui Muneyama He pitched in 30 games as a player and reliever. Masahiro Ehara We look back at Tohoku Rakuten 's rookies, including pitcher, who made their first-team debut.

Rui Muneyama and Masahiro Ehara will make their debut in the opening game!

After competing with five teams, Rui Muneyayama joined Tohoku Rakuten as the first draft pick, and started as the second batter short stop Rui Muneyama in the away opening game (March 28th against Orix Buffaloes). With the team trailing by one run in the top of the ninth inning, with one out and a runner on third base, he came up to bat for the fourth time and hit a home run, marking his first hit and RBI in his debut game. He then went on to hit two more hit in the home opening game, recording five consecutive hit and marking a spectacular debut.

Although his performance dropped slightly in May and June, he consistently recorded batting averages in the high 20s to 30s in the other months, racking up hit and becoming the fourth rookie fielder in the team to reach 100 hit. He also became the first rookie of the 12 teams to reach the required number of at-bats with his appearance against Orix Buffaloes on September 29th, finishing his first season with 112 At Bat in 430 hit, 3 Home Run, 27 RBI, and a batting average of .260 in 122 games.

Muneyama has saved the team on defense many times and is a candidate for Rookie of the Year. We hope to see him even more powerful next season.

3rd draft pick Haruto Nakagomi pitcher appeared in seven games as reliever pitcher. Nakagomi was named to the first team during spring training. Although he missed the opening day start of the first team, he made his NPB debut on May 4th. Takaya Tanaka This was Nakagomi's first time pitching as a battery mound with a player. He was in a pinch with consecutive hits, but he finally struck out the batter with a fly ball to left field, and was all smiles. This season, Nakagomi has primarily pitcher for the minor leagues, but he posted a solid 1.83 ERA in 41 games with the minor leagues, so it's likely he'll be pitching more often for the major leagues next season.

Also showing his presence as a reliever was Masahiro Ehara pitcher, who was ranked fourth in the draft. After starting in the first team camp with Nakagome pitcher, Ehara pitcher successfully entered the opening first team. When he took the mound as the 4th pitcher in the opening game (March 28, Orix), he made his first-team debut by showing a clean runs pitch while carrying a runner in scoring position.

After that, he repeatedly registered and deleted three times, but on September 15th, in the Chiba Lotte Marines game, Ehara pitcher went up to the top mound of the 12th inning with the score tied. Although he made it to first and second base with one out on hit and sacrifice bunt, he finally got through with double play hits, and the team immediately after that, in the bottom of the 12th inning, Yuya Ogo player was born with the 2000th bullet in the club's career, walk-off and Ehara pitcher got the long-awaited first win.

Towards the end of the season, fifth-round draft pick Tsubasa Yoshino and sixth-round draft pick Po Hsiang Yang also made their way to the first team. Having played in 95 games for the second team this season, Yoshino recorded a batting average of .223 and five Home Run, tied for second on the team. On September 29th, he was promoted to the first team for the first time, appearing in two games. While he was unfortunately unable to get his first hit, will he be able to use this season's experience to produce a ton hit in the first team next season?

Yo made his first team debut on October 3rd, towards the end of the season. In his first NPB at-bat as a pinch hitter in the bottom of the sixth inning, he recorded his first hit, hitting a ball to left field. In 87 games for the minor leagues, he recorded a batting average of .237, RBI, and 13 stolen base. He also showed his competitive spirit with a batting average of .317 in scoring position. We look forward to seeing him grow even more in the future.
