On 5 July, Fukuoka Softbank lost 3-6 in the 11th round match between Western League regular season and Fukuoka Softbank vs. Chunichi at Tamahome Stadium Chikugo.

Fukuoka Softbank starter Katsuki Matayoshi pitcher retired three batters in the first inning, but gave up two runs in the top of the second inning on back-to-back singles and stolen base with two outs and a runner on third base on an error by his teammates. However, in the bottom of the second inning, Yuto Akihiro and Yoshiyasu Sasakawa hit back-to-back singles and Walk to put the game on a two-out, bases loaded opportunity, and Keio Fujino 's RBI single tied the game.

In the top of the third inning, pitcher Matayoshi gave up one run with one out and a runner on sacrifice fly from third base, but Itua Ikhine and Tomoya Inoue were on the bottom of the inning. The score was tied again with back-to-back strikes by the players. However, in the top of the fifth, Matayoshi pitcher was removed after an RBI single with one out and two bases loaded and left the game after six hit Walk 1 strike out 4 runs (earned runs 2) on 82 pitches in the fifth inning.

​Yugo Bando pitcher, the sophomore, got two consecutive struck out pinch hits with one out and two bases loaded in the top of the sixth, retired three batters in the top of the seventh, and gave up two runs in the top of the eighth on a two-out, one-out single from second base and an RBI triple. The bats also advanced runner in scoring position in the seventh and eighth innings, but failed to capitalize on the opportunity and were scoreless. In the bottom of the ninth, the Tigers rallied three batters and the game ended 6-3.

Ihine, Ryuta Hirose, and Haruki Katsuren scored three goals in a total of 10 hit, including two hit. pitcher didn't falter either, with a total of 10 hit 6 runs.
