Saitama Seibu starter Wataru Matsumoto pitcher made it 1-runs in the bottom of the first inning on back-to-back singles by Ryusei Miyazaki and Acevedo. In the top of the fifth, with two outs and the bases loaded, Ryu Sato hit an RBI single in his second consecutive at-bat to make it 2-1.
The relievers tied the game in the bottom of the seventh with Takeru Sasaki pitcher on a runs score, but Masaya Kuroda pitcher tied the game in the bottom of the eighth on back-to-back doble by Miyazaki and Acevedo. However, in the top of the ninth inning, Murata hit a doble single to put the game out of the game with two outs and Taiga Hirasawa 's two-run single. In the bottom of the ninth, Yuta Nakamura pitcher gave up one run to close out the game and end the game with a 4-3 lead.
