On 22 April, Orix lost 0-6 in the fourth round of the Western League regular season match between Orix and Hanshin Tigers in Sugimotoshoji Buffaloes Stadium Maishima.

Shuhei Fukuda joined the farm from this game and reached base in every at-bat with a 2 At Bat 2 hit 1 Walk. Tomoya Mori, who returned to action at No. 2 and catcher, had two at-bats and was hit 1 Walk.
