On 5 April, Tohoku Rakuten and Tokyo Yakult in the fourth round match between Tohoku and Tokyo win 5-1 in Eastern League regular season Rakuten Shinrindori Stadium Izumi.

Tohoku Rakuten starter Takuma Matsuda pitcher retired three batters in the first closer inning and then held the bases runner loaded until the fifth inning, when he was unable to score on a pitch in the bottom of the inning. In the top of the sixth inning with a one-run lead, he tied the game with two outs and the bases loaded with two outs in the Walk, but he missed the next two and got struck out to end the inning, exiting the mound after 4 hit 3 Walk 9 strike out 1 runs (earned runs 0) in the sixth inning.

In the bottom of the second inning, Tsubasa Yoshino 's Walk and Kengo Horiuchi 's doble put runners on second and third with one out, and scored on a grounder by Sotaro Nagata. In the bottom of the sixth, just after tying the game, Kohiro Komori 's Walk and Yoshino's hit loaded the bases with one out and the bases loaded, and Daiki Irie 's sacrifice fly scored the winning run.

In the top of the seventh, Hayato Yuge pitcher, the second baseman, retired three batters, and in the bottom of the seventh, back-to-back singles by Waterers Rikai Jumir and Daisuke Nakashima put runners on first and third with two outs, and added a run between wild pitches by pitcher. They scored two runs in the bottom of the eighth inning on an RBI single by Irie, and with a four-run lead in the top of the ninth, Naoki Hihata pitcher closed out the game with a pitch.

Tohoku Rakuten win 5-1 with starter pitcher Matsuda pitching a 9 strike out 1 runs (earned runs 0) sixth inning to win pitcher. In addition, the third draft pick, Haruto Nakagomi pitcher, closer a perfect inning, and Yoshino, the fifth pick in the draft, scored 2 hit.
