On 4 May, Hokkaido Nippon-Ham and Saitama Seibu played in ES CON FIELD, and Hokkaido Nippon-Ham won a close match, 3-2.

Hokkaido Nippon-Ham The offense opened the scoring in the bottom of the first inning with a two-run single by Reyes in the fifth. In the top of the second inning, starter Kota Tatsu pitcher hit a solo shot to Shuta Tonosaki, but in the bottom of the third, Reyes hit an RBI doble from first base with no outs to give the Yankees a two-run lead.

Tatsu pitcher retired three batters in closer the third and fourth innings respectively, and in the top of the fifth, he allowed doble with one out but cut the deficit to struck out. He survived a two-out, two-base jam in the top of the sixth inning with three groundouts and exited the game with a walk hit four Hit by Pitch four strike out 1 runs in the sixth.

In the top of the seventh, Takahide Ikeda pitcher and Nao Miyanishi pitcher, and in the top of the eighth, Ryusei Kawano pitcher closer runs. In the top of the ninth inning, Seigi Tanaka pitcher hit a solo shot to Takeya Nakamura but was able to preserve the lead and end the game 3-2. Tatsu pitcher made his first start of the season and his first win in six innings, runs 1. At bat, Reyes scored RBI of the game, including a two-run blast in the first inning.

In the loss, Saitama Seibu started Chihiro Sumida pitcher pitched 8 hit 2 Walk 4 strike out 3 runs in eight innings, but only scored two runs in two Home Run and their winning streak was halted at six.
