On 16 April, Saitama Seibu win 5-3 in the fourth round of the Eastern League regular season and Hokkaido Nippon-Ham vs. Saitama Seibu at Kamagaya Stadium in The Fighters.

Saitama Seibu took the lead in the first inning when Ryusei Sato hit a hit with two outs and Reon Murata followed with a two-run single. After Takuya Hiruma created a chance with doble, Ryosuke Kodama had an RBI single and scored three runs in the first inning.

In the bottom of the third, with two outs, Yuma Imagawa and Shun Mizutani allowed back-to-back singles, and Maika Yonamine's RBI single bad throw tied the game. ​Lopez pitcher connected perfectly in the fifth and second inning, and in the top of the seventh, Kento Watanabe advanced to second base on Walk and stolen base and scored on Montel's timely doble. In the top of the eighth, Ryusei Sato hit a solo shot to make the score 5-3.

After the 7th inning, Katsunori Hirai pitcher, Yoshinobu Mizukami pitcher, Taisei Miyazawa pitcher tied the game with a three-way tie to end the match. Ryu Sato scored 3 hit 1 RBI, Montel 2 hit 1 RBI and Hiruma 2 hit.

In Hokkaido Nippon-Ham the loss, starter Haruki Hosono pitcher allowed 6 hit 4 Hit by Pitch 3 runs on 70 pitches in five innings. The offense scored three runs early in the game, but failed to issue runner after the fifth inning. They suffered back-to-back defeats.
