On 1 April, Western League regular season Orix vs. Kufu HAYATE Shizuoka third round match was played in Sugimotoshoji Buffaloes Stadium Maishima, where Orix won 6-1 and win.

The starter, Naruki Teranishi pitcher, closer a perfect first round against the opposing batters. From the second round onwards, he continued to carry runner on his back, but with the help of his teammates' good defense, he was able to runs nothing. However, in the bottom of the seventh inning, with the bases loaded and bases loaded out, Ryu Sugisawa 's two-run RBI single turned the game around. Sho Gibo 's three-point triple and Seiya Yokoyama 's sacrifice fly made it 6-1.

​Shota Abe pitcher finished the top of the eighth inning on just three pitches, and the top of the ninth was Hitomi Honda pitcher tightened the match with ease. For Orix, starter pitcher Teranishi pitched well, allowing 4 hit Hit by Pitch 2 strike out runs in six innings. The offense scored six runs in the bottom of the seventh inning. No. 7 Sugisawa scored 2 hit 2 RBI.
