On March 30, Saitama Seibu vs. The Giants in the second round match of the Eastern League regular season match was held in CAR3219 Field, with Saitama Seibu losing 4-5 to lose.

In the bottom of the second inning, Ryosuke Kodama 's RBI single cut the deficit to one run. The midfield struggled to get a good chance, but in the bottom of the eighth inning, substitute hitter Kento Watanabe loaded the bases with hit. Junichiro Kishi followed with a two-run single in the first to tie the game. In the bottom of the ninth, Koichi Okumura had the bases loaded, but the runner behind him collapsed and the game went to extra inning.

With runner on second base in a tiebreaker format, Ichiro Tamura pitcher moved up to mound in the top of the 10th inning, but with one out and runners on second and third base, a throwing error led to a two-runs attempt. In the bottom of the 10th, Ken Watanabe's hit put runners on first and third with no outs, and Kishi's grounder made it a one-run game. With one out and runners on first and second base, the game ended with Kakeru Yamanobe falling to the double play. Substitute Kishi scored the equaliser in the 2 hit 3 RBI, while Ken Watanabe and Okumura scored 2 hit.
