On May 9, Chiba Lotte lost 4-8 in the 7th round match between Eastern League regular season and Chiba Lotte and Yokohama DeNA in Lotte Urawa Baseball Stadium.
Chiba Lotte starter Yuto Yoshikawa pitcher gave up two runs in the first inning on a grounder and an RBI single from third base with no outs. In the top of the second inning, Hibiki Kato hit a two-run single to put runners on first and second with two outs and a two-run RBI single to runs the fourth inning. After the third inning, he closer pitch to three in a row for the second inning.
In the bottom of the fourth, Ryusei Miyazaki led off the inning with a triple single, and Acevedo followed with an RBI single to bring home one run. However, in the top of the fifth, pitcher Yoshikawa reached on an error with hit and runners on second and third with no outs, and with one out, he hit a two-run RBI single to make the score 8-1. Koshiro Hiroike pitcher, who entered the game in the top of the seventh, retired three batters in two consecutive inning.
In the bottom of the seventh, the Yankees loaded the bases with no outs on an error and Naonori Yasuda 's hit and added a run on a Konoshin Tomiyama sacrifice fly with one out. In the bottom of the eighth, Martin's hit and Walk singles put runners on first and second with one out, and back-to-back RBI singles by Kyuto Ueda and Yuta Kaneda shortened the deficit to four.
In the top of the ninth, Oto Hayasaka pitcher tied the game with no runs, but it was not enough to tie up and the game ended with a score of 4-8. Starter pitcher Yoshikawa threw 109 pitches in six innings, allowing 12 hit 1 Walk 3 strike out 8 runs (earned runs 6). The team suffered three consecutive losses. Dora 5 rookie Hiroike pitcher pitched well with two no-hit Hit by Pitch two strike out no runs.
