On July 12, in the 15th game between Farm regular season Saitama Seibu Lions and Yokohama DeNA held at CAR3219 Field, Saitama Seibu Lions lost 3-8.

Saitama Seibu Lions 's starter, Haruki Sugiyama pitcher, got off to a strong start by retiring all three batters in the first inning. However, in the top of the fourth, with no outs and runners on first and second, they gave up the lead on an error, then gave up three more RBI hits, taking the runs in one go. They threw 82 pitches in 5 innings, 7 hit, 3 walks, Hit by Pitch 6 runs (earned runs 2), and retired from mound.

In the top of the sixth, the second pitcher, Daiki Miura pitcher, gave up two runs, but in the bottom of the sixth, Shun Akiyama created a good opportunity with a doble. The fifth-round draft pick, rookie Sowa Yokota, hit his third two-run homer, bringing in two runs. From the top of the 7th, Ryota Itokawa pitcher, Shunsuke Sato pitcher, and Taisei Miyazawa pitcher each retired in order closer three players.

In the bottom of the ninth, leadoff player Akiyama hit a doble, and with one out and a runner on third, Takayoshi Yamamura hit a timely hit to make it 3-8, but the rest of the pack collapsed and the game ended as it was. Saitama Seibu Lions, who lost, suffered their third consecutive loss in the same series. The lineup saw Akiyama hit two doble, and Yokota recorded Home Run for the second consecutive game.
