​Ryoya Kurihara, who was appointed as the players' association president this year, took part in batting practice under the watchful eye of manager Hiroki Kokubo. Kurihara appeared on ground with a shaved head, which was his first appearance since high school, about 11 years ago. Last season he was sidelined due to injury, but this season, as the players' association president, he hopes to complete the season with the first team without injury.
