On 12 July, Orix lost 1-5 in the 12th round match between Western League regular season and Orix Hanshin Tigers at Takatsuki Hagiya The Buffaloes Stadium (Hagiya Sogo Park ball park).

Orix starter Kaisei Tomatsu pitcher loaded the bases with one out in the top of the second inning on back-to-back errors of hit and bases loaded short stop, but got out of the jam by striking out the next two batters with struck out and a fly out to center field. Ryo Watanabe then hit an RBI single to end the inning, giving up 7 hit 2 walks Hit by Pitch 6 strike out 2 runs on 100 pitches in six innings to get out of mound.

​Nobuyoshi Yamada pitcher gave up two runs in the top of the seventh inning on a 2-hit runs and Ryoga Tomiyama pitcher in the top of the eighth, including a solo shot by Yosei Itsubo. The offense didn't break down opposing starter Yuki Nishi pitcher until the sixth inning, allowing two hit before the bottom of the seventh and eighth innings. In the top of the ninth, Kaito Iriyama pitcher tied the game with no runs.

In the bottom of the ninth, leadoff hitter Seiichi Teramoto loaded the bases with a doble and an RBI single by Sho Gibo with one out and two bases loaded, but that was the only run of the game. The game ended with a score of 1-5. Yibo recorded 2 hit 1 RBI.
