On 4 April, The Fighters Kamagaya Stadium played the first round match between Eastern League regular season Hokkaido Nippon-Ham and The Giants, which Hokkaido Nippon-Ham win 5-3.

The starter, Ruei-Yang Gu Lin pitcher, got off to a good start with six struck out in three innings. They opened the scoring in the top of the fourth inning on Tima's RBI single with two outs and third base, and gave up their second run in the top of the fifth on a infield grounder. Trailing by one run in the bottom of the fourth, Shun Mizutani and Naoki Arizono hit put runners on first and second with two outs, and Ryohei Hosokawa scored on a two-run RBI single triple. Yuya Shindo The player followed with an RBI single to make it 3-1. In the bottom of the sixth, Hosokawa hit another timely triple and Shindo followed with a second baseman to give his team their fifth run of the game.

Hokkaido Nippon-Ham took the lead in the top of the ninth inning when Tsubasa Namatame pitcher gave up one run to set the game at 5-3. Hokkaido Nippon-Ham has won three in a row. Hosokawa was 2 hit 3 RBI and Shindo was 2 hit 2 RBI in the batting lineup.
