On 30 March, the third round match between Western League regular season and Fukuoka Softbank vs. Orix at Tamahome Stadium Chikugo was win by Orix with a score of 6-4.

Orix In the first inning, Ryu Sugisawa had a good opportunity to load the bases with one out on a doble and Seiya Yokoyama led off the inning with an RBI doble. In the top of the second inning, Tokumasa Chano and Shuna Hori hit put runners on first and third with one out, and added two more runs on Tomoya Noguchi 's sacrifice fly and Diaz's RBI singles.

In the top of the third inning, Yokoyama's hit and Kendai Moto 's Walk put runners on first and second with two outs, and Kosei Osato had an RBI single. In the top of the fourth, Noguchi, Diaz, and Sugisawa hit back-to-back singles to make it bases loaded-loaded with no outs, and they added one more run on a infield grounder. With one out and the bases loaded, Ho Naito hit an RBI single to make the score 6-0.

Starter Taketo Ashida pitcher got through the first inning and bottom of the second inning with a hit but got through the runs and retired three batters in the closer bottom of the third. However, in the bottom of the fourth, after allowing hit to the leadoff hitter, the next hitter hit ball hit Ashida and he was substituted with an injury. Ryusei Gonda pitcher, who replaced the bases with no outs, gave up one run on a wild pitch of his own, but got the next two runners to struck out to keep the deficit to runs.

In the bottom of the fifth, Ryoga Tomiyama pitcher tied the game with three outs, and in the bottom of the sixth, Ryota Muranishi hit three consecutive singles to put the score at bases loaded with no outs, but he broke the streak and got through the inning with no runs. In the bottom of the seventh, Kaito Iriyama pitcher hit a three-run double from second base with one out and Yoshiyasu Sasakawa on second base, and he was pulled with two outs and bases loaded again, but Kazutomo Iguchi pitcher struck out the next three batters in his place.

Kazutomo Iguchi pitcher closer in the bottom of the eighth inning, and the bottom of the ninth inning was Kaito Saiki pitcher closed out the game with a three-way tie, ending the game 6-4. win Orix trailed by two goals in the closing stages, but escaped with it. Yokoyama and Diaz RBI 2 hit and 1 RBI hit respectively. On the other hand, Fukuoka Softbank starter Katsuki Matayoshi pitcher allowed 7 hit 1 Walk 1 strike out 4 runs on 60 pitches in three innings. Sasakawa had 4 hit 3 RBI, including a single by Sasakawa.
