On 12 March, Saitama Seibu and Hanshin Tigers opened the match in Belluna Dome, where Saitama Seibu lost 2-3.

Saitama Seibu starter Tatsuya Imai pitcher got off to a good start, closer the first inning on 10 pitches. With two outs in the top of the ninth, he was hit by a hit but struck out the next two batters on a grounder to infield. The offense went 1-hit after the fifth inning and ended the game with a 3-2 lead. Koga has been active in 2 hit 1 RBI.
