The official YouTube channel of the league's official video streaming service, "Pacific League TV," is currently showing "Behind the Scenes of Pacific League: Persol Camera," a series planned by Persol Holdings Co., Ltd., the Pacific League League's title partner. Produced under the theme of "More than 30 fixed cameras revealing the professionalism of the staff who support Pacific League from every angle," the videos in this series, which were released last year, have been viewed more than 1 million times in total.

The fifth installment of the 2025 series features Chiba Lotte Marines. In late July, as the season entered the second half, over 30 cameras captured behind the scenes of the special summer event, "BLACK SUMMER WEEK."

The win formula seen from the stadium production! A close look at the creator of the "mysterious fish"!

The first episode follows Nozomi Narabayashi, who is in charge of stadium production and performance for the entertainment group. He started working for The Marines in 2011, working as a contract worker for a company that produced stadium events. His turning point came in 2017 when he created the mascot character "Mysterious Fish," and he became a team employee in 2018.

Narabayashi did not specialize in his student days, but instead worked at Zozo Marine Stadium right from graduation, honing his skills in stadium production. He was entrusted with directing all events for the 2025 "BLACK SUMMER WEEK."

Before the game, Narabayashi holds production meetings and broadcast meetings, and during the game he oversees the entire stadium production. In the video, he talks about his work, the annual schedule, and the "win formula" from the perspective of a director.

In the second episode, we follow Akira Matsumoto of the Rights Event Sales Group. Matsumoto is from Mihama Ward, Chiba City, Chiba Prefecture, where Zozo Marine Stadium is located. He is a die-hard The Marines fan, having played baseball himself and even been a member of the Junior The Marines, a fan club for children.

After graduating from university, he worked for a foreign IT company and later moved to a consulting firm. Even after he left his hometown to join the workforce, The Marines became a connection with his family, and when he joined Chiba Lotte Marines in 2021, his family held a mock "joining press conference" to celebrate him.

On the day of the shoot, Matsumoto showed a representative from EST.com the location of the fragrance initiative that was launched with the aim of leaving a lasting impression on visitors to "BLACK SUMMER WEEK." He was also photographed making full use of his fluent language skills to attend a meeting about a new business venture.

Establishing The Marines in the city. A look at the challenges faced by the apparel manager!

One of the reasons for the popularity of "BLACK SUMMER WEEK" is the fashionable apparel on sale. The person in charge of planning the apparel products for this event was Musashi Yoshii of the Merchandising Group, who is in his first year after joining the company.

Yoshii, who is from Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture, has been playing baseball since elementary school and often went to watch games. After giving up on his dream of going professional, he aimed to work in the sports industry, and after graduating from university, he worked for a sporting goods manufacturer for seven years. He was in charge of product planning. He is currently distinguished by his wide range of work, from developing new products to store layout.

Beyond the development of each merchandise item, Yoshii has his sights set on a future where The Marines will take root in the city. "The streets of Chiba and Makuhari are filled with The Marines logo. I want to create a world like that," he concluded.
