On 19 April, the fifth round of the Orix and Hokkaido Nippon-Ham matches was played in Kyocera Dome Osaka, where Hokkaido Nippon-Ham win 7-4.

In the top of the fourth, Hokkaido Nippon-Ham scored on back-to-back singles by Kotaro Kiyomiya, Daiki Asama, and Yuki Nomura to put bases loaded out and score one run on a Walk by Go Matsumoto with two outs. However, in the bottom of the fourth inning, starter Fukuya Yamazaki pitcher allowed a two-run double to Keita Nakagawa to make it a one-run game. Still, in the top of the fifth, Kiyomiya's hit and Walk singles put runners on first and second with one out, and Asama followed with an RBI single to put the game back to square one.

With the score tied at 2-2 in the top of the eighth inning, Yua Tamiya 's doble and Reyes Walk put runners on first and second with two outs, and Chusei Mannami caught Perdomo's pitcher first pitch and drove it into the left-field stands. He scored three runs in the fourth to win the game. With two outs and the bases loaded on Daigo Kamikawahata 's hit, Shun Mizutani also drove in two runs in the first to score five runs.

​Takahide Ikeda pitcher gave up two runs in the bottom of the eighth inning with a 3-hit-1 Walk, but the bottom of the ninth inning with a three-run lead was Seigi Tanaka pitcher closed out the match with no runs. Hokkaido Nippon-Ham win 7-4 in a 7-4 game by starter Fukuya Yamazaki pitcher hit 1 Walk 1 strike out 2 runs in 5.1 innings. Kiyomiya hit 3 and Asama 2 hit 1 RBI respectively, and the bats connected with 10 hit 7 runs.

On the other hand, Orix Ren Mukunoki pitcher struggled to hold on to 6 hit 2 Walk 2 strike out 2 runs in 4.1 innings on 72 pitches. Perdomo pitcher in the fifth also faltered, going 0.2 innings and 4 runs. Nakagawa had 3 hit 3 RBI and Ryo Ota had 3 hit.
