◇"Sunflower Day" held at Fukuoka Softbank Farm Stadium
Fukuoka Softbank will be holding "Sunflower Day Supported by Good Day" at Tama Home Stadium Chikugo on July 5th (Sat) and 6th (Sun). The event was planned after sunflower seeds were sent by balloons released by third graders at Kamizu Elementary School in Kurume City in November last year. The seeds were planted by pitcher Yugo Maeda and pitcher Toya Kawaguchi.
On the day, the stadium will be filled with sunflowers, and the gourmet food "Player Salon Curry" and "Midsummer Lemon Squash" will be specially designed with sunflowers in mind. The children of Kurume City Kamizu Elementary School, the sender of the gifts, will be invited, and the opening pitch is scheduled for Sunday, the 6th.
