Orix Yoshihisa Hirano pitcher became the fourth player in Pro baseball history to reach 250 career saves in NPB.

He entered the game in the bottom of the ninth inning with a one-run lead. Strike out the first Hiromi Oka player on a short stop grounder and the next Kyuto Ueda player on a pitcher grounder. Substitute hitter Katsuya Kakunaka was given a Walk in the full count and Eito Takabe hit with two outs and runners on first and second, but he ended the game by striking out rookie Misho Nishikawa to end the game with a struck out.

On May 14, 2023, he became the first player in NPB history to reach 200 saves and 200 hold, and on October 2, he became a member of the Hall of Fame with 250 saves in Japan and the United States. This season, he is one game away from 700 NPB games and one away from 1,000 strike out, so it looks like it will be a record-breaking season.
