On 29 March, Western League regular season Fukuoka Softbank walk-off won the second round match between Fukuoka Softbank and Orix at Tamahome Stadium Chikugo, 6-5, 6-5.

The starter, Yugo Bando pitcher, was shaky from the first pitch. With Walk and hit on the mound and bases loaded with one out, Kazuya Katsuki scored on an RBI single. They added one more run in the top of the second inning with a one-out triple to sacrifice fly. With the score tied in the top of the fifth, pitcher Bando hit an RBI single to Ho Naito to make it 3-2. With two outs and runners on first and second base, Shinno Oshiro pitcher allowed hit, but Kaito Shigematsu thwarted the runs on a wild pitch. However, pitcher Oshiro runs another in the top of the sixth. They entered the game two goals behind.

In the top of the seventh, Taisei Kimura pitcher retired the bases, and in the bottom of the seventh, with two outs and one out, So Otomo hit an RBI single from third base to close the gap to one run. In the top of the ninth, Haruhiro Hamaguchi pitcher gave up one run, but in the bottom of the ninth, Walk had a chance to put runners on second and third with one out. Substitute hitter Keita Yamamoto hit a two-run doble to tie the game. With one out and the bases loaded, Yoshiyasu Sasakawa hit an RBI single to seal the walk-off win.

Fukuoka Softbank win and batted in the closing stages. pitcher Bando went 4.2 innings and threw 84 pitches, hit 7 Walk 2 strike out 3 runs. Sasakawa contributed to the win with 2 hit 1 RBI, including walk-off hits. In the loss, Orix starter Kazuma Sato pitcher threw 89 pitches in five innings, hit 3 walks Hit by Pitch 5 strike out 2 runs and pitch struggled with relievers. In the batting lineup, Ho Naito and Kazuya Katsuki players had 2 hit 1 RBI.
