◇ Saitama Seibu vs Hokkaido Nippon-Ham first game (28th Belluna Dome)

Saitama Seibu 's second-round draft pick rookie, Seiya Watanabe, recorded his first professional hit.

He started as the fifth batter and left fielder. In his first professional at-bat, he hit breaking ball on the outside corner and grounded out to infield. However, in the bottom of the fifth inning, when he came up to bat for the second time, he hit breaking ball from the opposing starting pitcher, Shoma Kanemura to right field.

He is the only rookie to make the opening day first team. He also won the opening day starting starting line-up, and the team, which is struggling with a lack of batting power, has high expectations of him. He will continue to produce hit and deliver a win to new manager Fumiya Nishiguchi.
