On 25 March, Kyocera Dome Osaka played the first round match between Western League regular season Orix and Hanshin Tigers, 1-0 with Orix win.

Starting pitcher Espinoza pitcher pitched runner but tightened up the cracks. In the top of the fourth, with two outs and runners on first and second with Walk and hit, he hit a hit to left field, but a good throw to left field prevented Ryoma Nishikawa runs from being thwarted. Espinoza pitcher exited four hit and two Walk three strike out runs in four innings.

In the bottom of the fourth, Nishikawa singled to load the bases with a triple and sacrifice fly Yusuke Mugitani singled with one out to lead off the inning. The relievers were closer runs in the top of the fifth inning by Hiroshi pitcher, and the Nobuyoshi Yamada pitcher in the top of the sixth inning were runs despite pinch-hitting for bases loaded. After that, Kaisei Tomatsu pitcher and Kento Kawase pitcher connected with each other, and in the end, Soichiro Yamazaki pitcher ended the match with closer. Orix won win in the shutout game relay. Taishi Hirooka and Nishikawa recorded two hit and Mugitani recorded their first RBI in regular season.
