On 25 March, the Eastern League regular season first round match between Tohoku Rakuten and Chiba Lotte was played in Shinrindori Stadium Izumi, and Chiba Lotte win 11-2.

Chiba Lotte started Shuta Ishikawa pitcher. In the first inning, he was hit by a pitch to lead off the Kohiro Komori with a doble, advanced to third base on a fielder’s choice and scored on a sacrifice fly. After that, he kept his composure pitch, but in the bottom of the fifth, Waterers Rikai Jumir 's timely doble runs the game. He went mound in the fifth inning with 4 hit 1 strike out 2 runs (earned runs 1).

In the top of the third inning, with two outs and runners on first and second base, back-to-back RBI singles by Ryusei Miyazaki and Toshiya Sato led off the comeback. In the top of the sixth, just after the score was tied, Daito Yamamoto and Raito Ikeda had RBI singles to make it a three-run game. In the top of the seventh, Kenta Chatani hit a two-run RBI single to make it 7-2.

In the top of the eighth, Miyazaki hit his second RBI of the day, and Shota Ueda and Acevedo added three more runs. They added one more run in the top of the ninth to bring their total to 17 hit 11 runs. Takahiro Nishimura pitcher, Kota Futaki pitcher and Koshiro Sakamoto pitcher tied the game in the sixth inning before Akira Yagi pitcher closed out the bottom of the ninth.

Rookie Ryusei Miyazaki, the No. 2 pick in the draft, went 3-hit-2 RBI at the plate. Koki Yamaguchi and Acevedo also scored 3 hit, while Yamamoto scored 2 hit. Starter Hiiragi Ishikawa pitcher pitched a 2-runs (earned runs 1) fifth inning, and the relievers were able to get a runs out of the inning with a pitch that didn't hurt.

In the loss, Tohoku Rakuten starter Masaru Fujii pitcher went 5 hit 2 Hit by Pitch 2 runs in the middle of the fourth inning. The relievers continued to runs and couldn't make a game. Komori hit a triple and doble to score 2 hit.
