On 23 March, Orix lost 1-6 in the third round match between Western League regular season and Orix Hiroshima in Sugimotoshoji Buffaloes Stadium Maishima.

Starter Riku Miyaguni pitcher led off the second inning hit with a two-run RBI single in the top of the second inning with runners on second and third with two outs and runners on second and Walk. Ryusei Gonda pitcher, who entered the game with one out in the top of the third, struck out three consecutive struck out batters to complete closer the 1.2 perfect innings. In the top of the fifth, Keisuke Honda pitcher retired three batters, and in the top of the sixth, Ryoga Tomiyama pitcher closer runs.

In the end, Kazuya Katsuki fell to Zhongfei and the match ended.

In the batting lineup, Yokoyama and Kurita showed 2 hit performances, but scattered 7 hit 1 run. pitcher didn't falter either, going 8 hit 6 runs. The second, pitcher Gonda, gave up 20 pitches in 1.2 innings hit Hit by Pitch 3 strike out runs in relief.
