「試合がある日に風呂に入って椅子に座って、普通に誰でも使っていいようなシャンプーだと思って目の前にあったシャンプーを使ったんですが、それが（小久保）監督のシャンプーで。それをサウナに入っていた監督に見られて、『これ、使ったやろ』って言われたので、『すみません使っちゃいました』と返したら、お風呂上がりに新しいのをもらって。すごいなとくれるんだと思いながら後から値段を調べたら、めちゃくちゃ高くて！ いまロッカーに飾ってます。いろいろなコーチから言われました。『お前何しとんねん！』って」

　今回の収録にあたり「爪痕を残したい」と貪欲に挑んだ岩井投手だったが、どうやら1年目からチームに大きな爪痕を残していたようだ。
