On October 27th, Motonobu Tanishige and Tomoya Satozaki appeared on the official Pacific League TV YouTube channel's "Mondays at Patele" segment and praised pitcher Hiromi Ito.

"Mondays at Patele" was started with the desire to create a time for professional baseball and Pacific League fans to enjoy even on Mondays, when there are fewer games. This week, Motonobu Tanishige and Tomoya Satozaki appeared, and selected "THE MAN" from each team as the player who made the biggest impact this season.

From Hokkaido Nippon-Ham, both Tanishige and Satozaki chose pitcher Hiromi Ito. This season, pitcher led the team with 14 wins and 8 losses in 27 appearances with ERA of 2.52. Satozaki commented on the pitcher impact Ito's pitch has had on the team, saying, "Six complete game is amazing. It seems like the pitcher (on Hokkaido Nippon-Ham) as a whole are starting to think that complete game is the norm."

Satozaki added, "Also, with the emergence of young players like Tatsu (Kota), Fukushima (Ren), and Shibata (Shishi), it seems that (pitcher Ito) has become more aware of his own responsibilities." Tanishige also praised the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham pitcher staff as a whole, saying, "Softbank didn't hit very well in the (Persol CS Pacific) final, did they? After all, Nippon-Ham Ham Fighters' starting pitchers are good."

Finally, Satozaki commented, "This is the Sawamura Award, no question. It was wonderful." Tanishige also nodded and said, "Congratulations," selecting him as "THE MAN OF THE YEAR."
