Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Yuya Gunji hit sacrifice fly to score the first run.

In the first inning, hit by leadoff hitter Shun Shun Mizutani and Walk by Reyes created a favorable opportunity with runners on first and third with one out. Gunji stepped up to bat and, with count at 1-1, he made a good hit on breaking ball thrown by the opposing starting pitcher Naoyuki Uwasawa. The ball flew to right field for sacrifice fly, allowing Mizutani to score. This was the first time that Hokkaido Nippon-Ham had scored in the third game of the final stage.

Gunji has been performing well since July, with a batting average of over 30% per month. He was hit in the two games of the final stage, but hit Home Run in first baseman stage.
