◇Tohoku Rakuten vs Saitama Seibu 1st Round (3rd, Rakuten Mobile Park Miyagi)

Saitama Seibu 's Haruto Yamada pitcher made his professional debut.

In the bottom of the seventh, two runs behind, Yamada pitcher moved up to mound. He allowed hit to the leadoff Hiroto Kobukata, but handled the next Yuya Ogo 's batted ball with calm fielding. Ryosuke Tatsumi and Daichi Suzuki followed with infield grounders to end the inning with no runs.

He joined the team from Omi High School with the fifth pick in the 2022 draft. In his third season, he was selected as a member of the Nango Camp and made his presence felt in four games in the opening game, going 5 strike out in 4 inning. Although he was not included in the first team of the season, he was registered as a member of the first army on March 29.
