Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters player Reyes hit the first solo home run.

He started as the third batter and DH. In the top of the fourth inning, with two outs and no runner on base and trailing by three runs, he made a good hit on the first pitch thrown by the opposing starting pitcher, Yuji Nishino, which was an inside slider. He was sure of the ball when he hit it, and it was his first solo home run, piercing the left field stands. With one hit from his main batter, he closed the gap.

Reyes was hit by Hit by Pitch on his right wrist in the game against Saitama Seibu on the 5th, but returned in the previous game (against Chiba Lotte on the 11th). He showed off some impressive batting, which dispelled any concerns.
