On July 21, in the third round of Farm regular season Saitama Seibu Lions vs. Tokyo Yakult held in CAR3219 Field, Saitama Seibu Lions won convincingly 8-4.

Saitama Seibu Lions took the lead in the first inning with a solo home run by third batter Takayoshi Yamamura. Furthermore, Takumi Kuriyama and Yuta Nakazo created opportunities with consecutive hits, and rookie Shun Akiyama hit his first three-run homer.

They led by 4 runs from the first inning, but immediately after, in the top of the 2nd, starter Shinnosuke Hada pitcher was in a Hit by Pitch 4th with no outs and bases loaded in trouble. Ryunosuke Matsumoto gave Ryunosuke Matsumoto a bases-loaded Walk, and with one out and bases loaded, Ryui Ito hit a two-run hit to narrow the gap to one run.

Saitama Seibu Lions wanted to add more runs. In the bottom of the third, with one out, Kuriyama reached base at doble, followed by Nakazo's 13th two-run homer. In the bottom of the seventh, Nakazo and Akiyama hit consecutive doble to pull away, ending the game 8-4.

The strong lineup recorded double-digit hit in three consecutive games, and the team won four straight games with one surplus. Nakazo posted 3 hit 3 RBI, Akiyama 2 hit 4 RBI, Yamamura 2 hit 1 RBI, and Kuriyama and rookie Sowa Yokota 2 hit. pitcher starter pitcher Haneda pitched 2 innings with 2 hit 1 strike out 6 Hit by Pitch 3 runs. The third pitcher Taisei Miyazawa pitcher and fourth pitcher Haruse Narita pitcher both retired three batters in the first inning pitch.
