The official YouTube channel of the league's official video distribution service "Pacific League TV" is currently showing "Behind the Scenes of Pacific League Persol Camera," a program planned by Persol Holdings Co., Ltd., the title partner of Pacific League League. The series was created with the theme of "More than 30 fixed cameras revealing the professionalism of the staff who support Pacific League from every angle!" and the videos in the series, which were released last year, have been viewed more than 1 million times in total.

The second installment of the 2025 series is Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters. Over 30 cameras captured behind the scenes of a children's work experience event held at various locations around the stadium on Saturday, April 26th and Sunday, April 27th, the first week of Golden Week and the days of games.

Growth from failure immediately after joining the company. A close look at the fan club manager in his third year after graduating and appointed sub-leader

The first episode focuses on Aya Nakagawa, a member of the fan club group. She mainly plans events and services for the official fan club "FAV". This year, in her third year after graduating from university, she was selected as the sub-leader of the event team for her work experience, despite being the youngest.

"I would like to provide children with as many experiences as possible that they can only have at a baseball stadium, valuable experiences that they can only get here," said Nakagawa, who has planned an event where children can experience being in the starting starting line-up as a player.

Working with the production group, which was mainly in charge of directing, they arranged for footage to be shot with the same movements as the real players, and worked with other departments to create a high-quality experience. When the stadium DJ called out the children's names, a dreamlike image was projected onto the giant screen at ES CON FIELD.

When we asked the team leader about Nakagawa, he said, "It can be summed up in one word: 'Idea power'." Nakagawa has realized various projects using his idea power, but he experienced failure with the service he released one month after joining the company. Although he experienced failure immediately after joining the company, he continued to take on challenges with the words of his seniors in mind, and has now become a reliable person who has been selected as a sub-leader.

Her strength is her ability to take charge of everything from ideas to execution. A close look at a mid-career public relations employee

The second episode starts with footage from just before the end of the game. At the top of the ninth inning, with the score at 2-1, the team was in a pinch with two outs and runners on first and second base. As the team's staff watched with bated breath, they overcame this predicament. Shortly after the stadium was filled with cheers, a child tried out a hero interview as part of his work experience. Sasaki Asa from the Public Relations Department was taking pictures of the scene.

He was born in Kitahiroshima City and was an avid The Fighters fan during his student days. After working for a television production company for eight years, he joined Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters as a mid-career hire. He realized his dream of "working to promote baseball" in his hometown.

The work experience that Sasaki-san will be in charge of is that of a live announcer. As the team leader also has the ability to act, he pitched the plan that he came up with himself to the broadcasting station, and handled the entire process from coordination to execution.

Sasaki-san said, "I want this to be an opportunity for children to think about their future careers." The camera captures him running around the stadium, attending to the TV station that came to cover the work experience event, and dealing with any trouble that may arise at the event, as well as planning his own events.

He handles all operational tasks perfectly. A close look at the event manager, a professional that his junior colleagues look up to.

In the third episode, we follow Kazuya Fukuya from the Operations Group. Previously, he worked for an event management company and was in charge of The Fighters' work as a supporter. After that, he was seconded to Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters where he worked for five years, and in 2017 he transferred to become a team employee.

The job of the operations group is to ensure that events run smoothly, not just matches. On this day, he barely returned to his desk, but always had his intercom on, and was busy at the site from before the match until it ended.

When I talked to Sasaki about Fukuya, he said, "When I ask for something, he gives me the OK, and even if there's nothing else to do, he does everything perfectly on the day." Please watch the video to see the work of this craftsman who continues to smoothly realize the work of many people involved.

Regarding his own work, Fukuya said, "I don't think there's no need for a backstage role, and I don't think there's a need for only a frontstage role either. Whether others can see it or not, there are many people who understand, and that's encouraging. Maybe I've gotten used to being behind the scenes, but I really love it."
