On 18 March, the opening match between Hokkaido Nippon-Ham and The Giants in ES CON FIELD was win by Hokkaido Nippon-Ham 5-2.

Hokkaido Nippon-Ham 's starting pitcher was Fukuya Yamazaki pitcher. They closer to three in the first inning, but gave up the lead in the top of the second inning on a sacrifice fly by Takuya Kai.
