Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles Tohoku Golden Angels, the official cheerleaders of Tohoku, announces the 2026 member auditions. The team will be recruiting members until Monday, November 10, 2026, who will not only enliven and support the stadium through their performances, but also visit various places in Tohoku to act as bridges between fans, local communities, and Rakuten Eagles.

Tohoku Golden Angels is a cheer team formed in 2005, when the team was founded, and will be in its 22nd year in 2026. Their activities include dance performances at Rakuten Eagles home games, PR activities through various media appearances, and community contribution activities through the "Tohoku Rokken Activity". They also serve as guides for the "Angels Course" ballpark tours at Rakuten Mobile Park Miyagi and work as instructors at the Rakuten Eagles Academy Cheerleading Dance School to train younger cheerleaders.

Regarding the 2025 season, a team representative said

In the 2025 season, we were able to meet many people in Tohoku by participating in festivals, visiting kindergartens, and local events in the six prefectures in Tohoku, as well as cheering activities at our home site regular season. We will continue to pursue the image of cheerleaders that each of us envisions, and as "Tohoku's cheerleaders," we will continue to deliver dreams and excitement to everyone, and lead Rakuten Eagles to win in 2026.

She also said, "We are looking for the following people for this audition.

We are a team that focuses on being 'Tohoku cheerleaders'. We are looking for members who will make efforts to approach the ideal image of cheerleaders that each of them envisions, such as a heart to contribute to the team's win as a cheer leader, the ability to enliven the entire Tohoku region, an attitude to accompany and guide the growth of school students, and an awareness of being a presence to cheer up people they meet," she stated.

The outline of the audition for 2026 members is as follows.

October 6 (Monday) to November 10 (Monday), 2025

Application Requirements
Those who can lead Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles to win with passion and enthusiasm together with fans as a member of Rakuten baseball group.
Women over 18 years old (as of April 1, 2026 (Wed.))
Those who want to enliven Tohoku with their smiles and performances! Those who want to bring excitement to Tohoku with their smiles and performances!
Those who are able to participate in regular season sponsored games and events during the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles 2026 season.
Those who can participate in lessons in Sendai throughout the year and give top priority to Tohoku Golden Angels' activities.
Those who can understand and act in accordance with Tohoku Golden Angels' activity guidelines.
Preference will be given to those with dance experience (regardless of genre).
Applicants from outside Miyagi Prefecture are also welcome.

Screening Schedule
November 10 (Monday)
Deadline for the first round of judging (entry sheet, photo and free dance video upload)
November 12 (Wed.): Notification of preliminary screening results
Final judging details will be sent to successful applicants by e-mail.
December 6 (Sat) Final judging
The results will be announced and the inauguration ceremony for the 2026 Tohoku Golden Angels will be held on the same day.
