On the 7th, Lotte announced that pitcher Ayumu Ishikawa will be leaving the team at the end of this season. The team had been in discussions with Ishikawa, including asking him to become a coach, but as he expressed a strong desire to continue playing, the team decided to respect his wishes and have him leave the team.

Ishikawa commented through the team, "Thank you very much for the past 12 years. I have nothing but gratitude for everyone who has been involved. I would like to continue pitching on mound, so please continue to watch over me."

Ayumu Ishikawa joined the Lotte Marines as the first pick in the 2013 draft and won Rookie of the Year in his first year with 10 wins (8 losses) and ERA of 3.43. He recorded double-digit win for three consecutive years from that year, and in 2016 he won the Best ERA title with ERA of 2.16. The following year, he was selected to represent Japan in the WBC, but struggled that year with only three wins. In 2020, he pitched a league-leading 133 1/3 innings, but underwent surgery on his right shoulder in 2023 and was signed to a development contract in 2024. He returned to the team midway through the season and recorded three wins, including a comeback win. He did not pitch in the first team this season, but pitched in seven games for the farm team, with a record of 1 win, 2 losses, and ERA of 4.74.
