On the 2nd, Seibu announced that they will be holding an event in collaboration with the manga and anime "Jungle Emperor" at the game against Lotte on September 6th.
"Jungle Emperor Leo" is a representative work of manga artist Osamu Tezuka, the creator of Saitama Seibu Lions official mascots Leo and Lina. In 1979, when Seibu joined Pacific League, Tezuka Osamu designed "Leo" as the team mascot, and it has been used as the team flag and Leo mark to this day. This collaboration was realized to commemorate the 75th anniversary of The Lions naming and the 60th anniversary of the broadcast of the anime "Jungle Emperor Leo".
At the game on September 6th, a 15cm tall Leo figure (The Lions 75th anniversary jersey version) will be distributed to all attendees, except for some seats. In addition, to commemorate The Lions' 75th anniversary, 75 limited edition golden "Golden Leos" will be distributed at random.
