◇ Hokkaido Nippon-Ham ES CON FIELD Certified by Guinness World Records™

Hokkaido Nippon-Ham has announced that ES CON FIELD has been recognized as a Guinness World Record™. With an estimated 6,000 ballparks and stadiums worldwide, ES CON FIELD 's iconic glass wall has been officially recognized as the "Largest continuous glass façade on a stadium". To commemorate this achievement, a certification ceremony will be held before the Chiba Lotte game on Saturday, April 26.

Ken Maesawa, Managing Director and General Manager of Development Division, comments
The glass wall that was certified as a Guinness World Record this time was realized by incorporating the recent global trend in stadium construction to pursue an openness and comfort similar to that of outdoors, even though it is indoors. We are very pleased that our efforts have been recognized with the prestigious title of "World's Largest Glass Wall. In the future, we will continue to actively promote the innovative architectural design and world-class facilities of ES CON FIELD HOKKAIDO both in Japan and overseas, in addition to the attraction of the professional baseball and the excellent food and beverage services that have been attracting so much attention.

◇ Hokkaido Nippon-Ham "Attendance Baseball Camp" Participants Wanted

Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Baseball Academy will hold a two-day "Attendance Baseball Camp" for third and fourth grade elementary school students on Saturday, June 14th and Sunday, June 15th. The event will feature technical instruction by a former professional baseball player and academy coach, who will use his experience to teach students how to use their bodies through a variety of movements, as well as a basic program that will help develop baseball skills. This time, the program will include a pitcher class and practice in a real game format.

◇Saitama Seibu holds NPB's first third-division summer training camp

Saitama Seibu will hold a summer camp for its third team at Bibai Municipal ball park in Bibai, Hokkaido from August 1st (Friday) to 12th (Tuesday). Approximately 25 players will participate, and they will be supported by about 15 staff members, including third team general coach Aoki Satoshi, third team fielder coach Tanabe Norio, Onizaki Yuji, and Kimura Fuminori.

Following last season's results, Saitama Seibu appointed Hiroike Koji as the team's general manager. The team is undergoing a wide range of reforms, including inviting external coaches, reorganizing the coaching staff, and actively strengthening the team and increasing the number of staff. In addition to physical training, the camp also includes practice matches, with the aim of developing players through actual games. The decision to hold the camp was made as the team's desire to secure more practice time for the players coincided with the wishes of Bibai City, which wants to use sports in a cool climate to revitalize the local area.

▼Comment from Hiroike Koji, General Manager of the team▼
"Most of the players who are planning to participate in this camp are not yet physically strong enough to be professional baseball players. By training hard this summer, we want them to build up the stamina they need to compete in the professional world for a year. In recent years, we have seen many extreme heat waves, but the natural environment of Bibai City, even in Hokkaido's comfortable climate, allows them to concentrate on baseball. With the generous support of the people of Bibai City, we hope that the Young Lions will acquire the skills they need to play in the first team."
