When thinking of going to ES CON FIELD from outside Hokkaido, there must be many baseball fans who plan their trip to stay in nearby towns such as Sapporo Station or Chitose Station. However, from this spring, the JR Chitose Line Kitahiroshima Station area, which is the closest to ES CON FIELD, may become the base of the trip.

Today, March 28, 2025, the ES CON FIELD Ekimae, a hotel directly connected to Kitahiroshima Station, will open.

"ES CON FIELD HOKKAIDO HOTEL Kitahiroshima Ekimae" has a total of 158 rooms on the 4th to 13th floors of a 13-story building. The highlight is the "The Fighters Floor" on the 11th floor. The first thing that catches your eye is the art and memorabilia related to Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters.

The guest rooms are also stylishly decorated with The Fighters logo and pictures of ES CON FIELD, making them a special place that The Fighters fan would want to stay in at least once.

There are other tricks to tickle the hearts of baseball fans, such as ball-shaped lights at the hotel reception on the 4th floor, and ball- and glove-shaped cushions that make great photo spots. The Fighters Not only fans, but also fans of the visiting team will be able to create memories while basking in the afterglow of the exciting game.

baseball fans will be interested to know that it takes about five minutes by shuttle bus from the bus stop in front of the hotel to get to F Village. On game days, the buses are increased in frequency before and after the game (see the F Village official website for details).

Additionally, in the same building as the hotel, the first to third floors are taken up by the commercial facility "tonarie Kitahiroshima," which also just opened in March. This is also a must-see for baseball fans, with live viewing of The Fighters home games held at the "tonarie Field Live Arena" on the second floor. If you're staying overnight, you'll also want to try some local cuisine. For example, Akatsuki Patisserie Furuta, a popular local Japanese and Western confectionery shop that uses carefully selected ingredients from Hokkaido, has an eat-in space so you can eat on the spot or buy some as a souvenir.

ES-CON Japan is working on the development of F Village and the west exit of Kitahiroshima Station

By the way, the developer behind the opening of the "ES CON FIELD HOKKAIDO HOTEL" is Nippon ES-CON Co., Ltd. Pacific League fans are familiar with the company as the one that acquired the naming rights to ES CON FIELD.

Did you know that Nippon ES-CON is not only in charge of the naming rights, but is also involved in the development of F Village? Nippon ES-CON is also the developer of the apartment complex "Le Jade Hokkaido Ballpark" in F Village, the medical mall "F Village Medical Square" that opened last year, and the senior residence "Masters Veras Hokkaido Ballpark".

F Village is not the only development being carried out. The Kitahiroshima Station West Exit Area Revitalization Project is also underway, with the hotel and commercial facility being the first part of that development.

Regarding the opening of the hotel and commercial facility, Kentaro Aoki of ES-CON Japan's Hokkaido branch commented, "We hope that people will use this as a new place to stay or stop by when visiting F Village."

"The second phase of development, a hotel and commercial facility with a directly connected apartment building via a pedestrian deck, is scheduled for completion next fall. We are also planning to develop city-owned land to the north of the facility. We will work with a wide range of stakeholders to promote the creation of a town that will feel like a hometown, one that will be loved not only by local residents but also by visitors to F Village from both inside and outside Hokkaido," says Aoki.

The Kitahiroshima Station development project started with F Village. A hotel and a commercial facility have opened near the station, bringing new vitality to the area, and F Village, now in its third year since opening, is set to become even more lively.
