On February 25th at 1:00 PM, the 2026 Spring Miyazaki Baseball Games will be held at Hinata Sun Marine Stadium Miyazaki, featuring a match between the Saitama Seibu Lions and the Doosan Bears.

The Saitama Seibu Lions concluded their spring training camp on the 23rd. In a practice game on the 22nd, Seiya Watanabe recorded two hit. Last season, as a rookie, he posted some of the team's best statistics with a batting average of .259, 12 Home Run, and 43 RBI. This season he will be switching to third base, but the question is whether he can maintain his excellent hitting ability.

Furthermore, there are many promising new players, including Masayuki Kuwahara and Kazunari Ishii, who were acquired as free agents last offseason, as well as new foreign players Canario and Yasuka Hayashi. All eyes will be on who will survive the fierce competition for starting positions at the start of the season.
