Nippon-Ham Fighters manager Tsuyoshi Shinjo made an unusual early morning inspection on the 6th.

At 8:40 a.m., slightly earlier than usual, he arrived at the stadium and personally called out to the waiting fans, "Come to the sub-ground..." urging them to head to the sub-ground.

Immediately after entering the stadium, he went to the ground, where infielder Yuki Nomura, who had been instructed to try second base, was practicing second base defense.

He repeatedly practiced tossing and throwing ground balls thrown by infield defense base running coach Taniuchi to second base. As it was before a staff meeting, he worked up a sweat while being watched by about 15 coaches, club executives, and staff.
