Seibu Sosuke Genda infielder (32) became eligible for overseas free agent (FA) status on August 8 after reaching a total of nine years on the roster.

Genda graduated from Aichi Gakuin University and joined Toyota Motor Corporation before joining Seibu as the third pick in the 2016 draft. He signed a five-year contract in the offseason of 2022, and this season will be his third year.

Regarding his acquisition of overseas free agency rights, Genda said through the team, "I have been able to get this far thanks to the support of many people. I am truly grateful. I will continue to work hard to play even better and not lose to the younger players. I hope to make the fans who always support me with their strong cheers happy.

And I will do my best to live up to that support."
