Pacific League Nippon-Ham vs Seibu (7th, ESCON)
Seibu outfielder Shinya Hasegawa was substituted during the seventh defense.
He started as the second batter and right fielder, and with neither team scoring, he walked with Walk out in the sixth inning. He attempted to stolen base base in Kishi's next at-bat, but the ball was hit straight to shortstop. He rounded second base, but stopped and crouched down as he tried to return to first base. He appeared to have hurt his foot and returned to the bench for treatment. He returned to ground and played in defense of the sixth inning, but was removed from defense in the seventh inning.
In his place, utility player infielder Keisuke Nakata took over in right field.
