On the 3rd, Lotte announced that infielder Yuta Kaneda underwent arthroscopic TFCC repair and right extensor carpi ulnaris tendon release surgery on his right hand at a hospital in Tokyo on the 2nd.

Kaneda has played in 17 games for the farm team so far this season, with a batting average of .219 RBI, but has not played in a game since the DeNA minor league game on May 9th.
