Saitama Seibu Lions official performance team, "bluelegends," has announced that they will be holding auditions for new members for the regular season season. They are looking for new members until November 23rd (Sunday, a national holiday) to help support Saitama Seibu Lions together with fans by performing at home games, dancing, MCing, and more, as well as appearing in various media (TV, radio, magazines, the web, etc.) and at events.

The 2026 season marks the 16th year since the formation of bluelegends. We spoke to Yuki, director of bluelegends, about the kind of people they are looking for in new members.

Blue Legends is a performance team that promotes The Lions through a wide range of activities, including livening up the stadium with dance performances, promoting the team through media and event appearances, and teaching at the The Lions Dance Academy for children.

For the 2025 season, the team will be playing with a new jersey for the first time in two years, and will have 16 members. Yuki reflects, "We have new rookies with unique personalities and talent who have brought a breath of fresh air to the team. Thanks to our reliable members, it has been a season in which we have seen the team grow and experience new possibilities."

"Another goal for the 2025 season was to get closer to and enjoy the time together with many fans. On match days, we acted as guides for stadium tours, and for the limited summer season, the Blue Legends also went out to the stands in the 'The Lions Splash Seats' set up in the left-field stands, where we cheered together with the fans while getting soaked. It was also a season in which we took on many new challenges, such as holding our first fan meeting outside of match days."

Auditions for the 2026 season members began on Saturday, October 18th. What kind of talent are bluelegends looking for in the new season? Yuki said,

"We are looking for people who can showcase their special skills, such as acrobatics, and their own strengths. There are many job opportunities beyond just dance, so we are looking for people who are positive and can take on new challenges."

When asked what mindset he wants the most important thing in their activities, he revealed, "The desire to make our fans enjoy themselves. A positive mindset that allows all the team members to improve each other."

[Eligibility]
・Women over 18 years old with dance experience
・Those who have experience in or aspire to be in various genres of entertainment, such as dance, acrobatics, and flags
・Acrobatic experience welcome
・Someone who can liven up the stadium together with the fans
・Those who can prioritize bluelegends activities (including rehearsals)
