Orix The Buffaloes' official dance and vocal unit, "BsGravity," has announced that it will be holding auditions for new members for 2026. Applications are open until Sunday, November 9th for new members who can connect the team with fans and liven up the atmosphere both inside and outside the stadium with the dynamic, expressive singing and dancing skills of a mixed-gender unit, and their unique performances.

In 2026, they will be in their third year as the first mixed-gender unit in professional baseball, and their 13th year as a dance and vocal unit. What kind of people are they looking for in new members? We spoke to Matsumoto Yuika of the Business Promotion Department's Event Group, who is in charge of operations.

"BsGravity" is a mixed-gender unit of 14 members, consisting of nine "BsGirls," the first dance and vocal unit in the baseball world formed in 2014 as a collaboration between Orix The Buffaloes and Avex, and five "BsGuys," newly formed in 2024.

During the season, they mainly perform at the stadium, and release a CD every year through Avex. In addition to appearing on TV and at events, they also perform a wide range of activities, including solo concerts during the off-season.

Matsumoto-san, regarding your activities for the 2025 season,

"The 2025 season marks our second year as a mixed-gender unit, and we put a lot of effort into creating songs and performances that are in line with the season concept and the theme of Bs Natsu no Jin 2025," she recalled, and spoke enthusiastically about the upcoming off-season, saying, "We also have a solo live show coming up, and the members themselves are involved in the production and merchandise production, so we hope you will continue to look forward to it."

What kind of talent is BsGravity looking for in the new 2026 season?

"During the auditions, the key judging criteria will be visual appearance and performance ability that matches the image of BsGravity. We are looking for people who can enjoy singing and dancing, who have a love for Orix The Buffaloes and baseball, and who have the dream and desire to bring energy and courage to people through their own performances and who will walk with us."

Also, what is the most important mindset you should have when working as BsGravity?

"I want you to always be aware that you are the one connecting the team and the fans, and I want you to first and foremost enjoy your work. Increasing the number of fans for yourself and your group not only leads to personal growth, but also encourages attendance at the stadium and is a great source of strength for the club and the team. I want you to always aim for higher heights and continue to hone your visual appearance and performance skills," he said.

[Eligibility]
・Target age (at the time of application)
18 years old or older (those who are expected to graduate from high school in March 2026 are eligible) to 35 years old (as of March 1, 2026)
・Gender-neutral
・People who are confident in their dancing
・Those who can relocate to the Osaka area after passing the exam (at their own expense)
・Those who have not signed a contract with a specific entertainment production company, record company, etc.
・Healthy, cheerful and motivated person
・In principle, those who can perform on all home game days.
・Those who can attend lessons, self-study, and choreography rehearsals
・Those who are willing to have their photos published, appear, and be filmed in various media such as Orix The Buffaloes official website, television, and magazines
