Seibu announced on March 31 that it will send third-year pro Kaito Noda catcher (20) and rookies Yamato Fuji pitcher (19) and Taiyo Sato infielder (23) to the 2025 Asia Winter Baseball League, which will be held in Taiwan from November 15 to December 7.
Comments from each player are as follows:
[catcher Kaito Noda]
I'm looking forward to playing in Taiwan, and I want to fully demonstrate my current abilities in both batting and defense. I'll actively interact with players from other teams and find out what I'm lacking. I want to work hard so that I can feel like I've grown more than ever by the end of the season.
[pitcher Yamato Fuji]
I want to test how effective my fastball is, and I also want to talk to the opposing players about how I look to them. Since this is a rare opportunity, I'm also interested in foreign cultures, languages, and food, and I want to learn about their way of thinking. I hope to gain confidence through this winter league and get off to a good start next season.
[Taiyo Sato infielder]
I would like to try out the things I have been working on so far, such as fall practice, and communicate with many players from other teams to deepen my understanding of their senses and awareness. I would like to return to Japan with a solid standard and direction for next season.
