On the 31st, Seibu Lions General Manager Hiroike commented on pitcher Tatsuya Imai and Mitsunari pitcher, who are both hoping to transfer to the US Major Leagues this offseason using the posting system, saying, "We will decide on the date soon. I'm hoping to meet next week. They're probably worried about a lot of things, so I think we'll have to discuss it." He revealed that they expect to hold talks as early as next week.
Takahashi also acquired domestic free agent rights during this season. Hiroike, the team's general manager, had previously indicated that he would hold talks with the two players after the Japan Series schedule was completed.
